MeechMe is a new and free service that adds social functions to any web page
with a simple button. Readers of the page can chat, view each others profiles,
photos, and videos, and even trade stocks in the page and each others profiles!
No software is required to be installed by either the page owner or the page
readers. Page owners add just a few lines of HTML, which contains no JavaScript.
No registration is required for either the page owner or page readers. Readers sign
in to MeechMe with their account from their favorite social networking service.
They can even combine several accounts. For example, you can take your profile from
Facebook, your photos from Flickr, and your videos from YouTube!
For page owners MeechMe not only provides an easy way to keep in contact with
your readers, but also automatically promotes your page! Every time someone signs in to
MeechMe via the button on your page, their status on their social service
is updated with a link back to your page.
Users concerned about their privacy can turn off the status update feature. In addition
users can keep private any information from their profile they wish.
